A total of 157 students from 27 Western New York high schools have been inducted into Erie 1 BOCES’ chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
This year’s cohort includes three seniors from Lackawanna High School. Those seniors include – with their Erie 1 BOCES Career and Technical Education program – Brian Eiskant, Auto Technician Training; Asala Nashir, Cosmetology; and Ahmed Zaied, Dental Laboratory Technology.
In order to qualify for acceptance into NTHS, a student must be nominated by his or her teacher, have a 90 percent or higher average in their career and technical education (CTE) course, and maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) of 85.
