On Sunday May 26, 2024 the Lackawanna High School Band performed at the City of Lackawanna’s annual Memorial Day ceremony. The band performed the “Star-Spangled Banner,” a stirring rendition of “America the Beautiful,” and “The Armed Forces on Parade,“ a tribute to the men and women who served in each branch of the United States military.
To close the ceremony Mr. Rice sounded Taps on the trumpet, in honor of all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Thank you to the City of Lackawanna for allowing our students to lend their talents and give thanks to our service men and women, and thank you to the LCSD Building and Grounds Department for your help moving equipment to and from Veterans Stadium.
