The staff at Lackawanna High School recently wrapped up a successful Wellness Week, filled with thoughtful gestures, healthy treats and activities designed to support both physical and emotional well-being.
Organized by the school’s dedicated Wellness Team, Teachers Jen Willats, Jill Waugh, Felicia Urbanczyk, and Brianne Corigliano and Principal Jennifer Springer, the week-long event encouraged staff to focus on self-care, movement and mindfulness.
From energizing snacks to morale-boosting surprises, each activity reinforced the message that taking care of oneself is essential, especially for educators whose work demands such heart, patience, and dedication. The students also wrote thankful notes and delivered gifts of chamomile tea and Niagara County apples to brighten the days of the adults in the building.
“The Wellness Team did an amazing job reminding all of us how important it is to recharge and take care of ourselves,” said Principal Springer. “When our teachers and staff feel supported and healthy, our students benefit, too.”
The initiative highlighted how fortunate the Lackawanna High School community is to have such hardworking and compassionate professionals who continually go above and beyond for students and colleagues alike.
The school extends its heartfelt thanks to the Wellness Team for their efforts in making Wellness Week a success and for promoting a culture of care, balance and positivity among staff.
