Lackawanna City School District is pleased to welcome two new members to our Health Office.
Please join us in welcoming Crystal Dell, RN, who will serve as our Middle School Nurse, and Emilie Kirkwood, RN, who will serve as our High School Nurse.
Both bring valuable experience and a strong commitment to student health, safety, and well-being. Their presence will help ensure that our students continue to receive high-quality care and support throughout the school day.

Crystal Dell: Hello Lackawanna City School District! I was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 15 years. I attended Trocaire College and graduated in May of 2025 with my associates in nursing. Previously, I have been a primary care pediatric nurse as well as a School Nurse for 4 years. I truly love caring for children and I appreciate the opportunity to be there for the students of Lackawanna. While I am not at school, I enjoy being outside with my family, playing with my dog and gardening.
Emilie Kirkwood: I’ve dreamed of becoming a nurse since I was young and earned my degree from Trocaire College in 2022. With experience in pediatrics and hospital care, I’m passionate about helping others and excited to start this new chapter at Lackawanna High School! I moved to Lackawanna 8 years ago, and when I’m not working, I’m likely sipping coffee and spending time with my husband and son.
